United States v. X-Citement Video, Inc., et al.
513 U.S. 64 (1994)

On November 29, 1994, the Supreme Court ruled in United States v. X-Citement Video, Inc., that the correct reading of The Protection of Children Against Sexual Exploitation Act of 1977 is that the producer or distributor of child pornography must know that the performer was indeed a minor in order to be prosecuted.  Media Coalition submitted an amicus brief in this case.
