Arkansas House Bill 1525 requires that material harmful to minors be placed behind a restricted counter area in blinder racks and segregated in a way that physically prohibits minors access to the material. 

California Senate Bill 900 would require any business that takes an order for material harmful to minors by mail, phone, fax, or the Internet and delivers the material by private delivery service to take "reasonable measures" to determine that the person placing the order is an adult.

Michigan House Bill 4360 would require that bookstores limit access to minors of harmful to minors material.

Minnesota Senate Bill 1140 would make it a petty misdemeanor for anyone under age 17 to possess a video game rated "AO" or "M" by the Entertainment Software Rating Board. 

Minnesota Senate Bill 35 would make it a misdemeanor to sell or rent a restricted video game to anyone under 17 years old. 

Mississippi Senate Bill 2756 would change the definition of child pornography in the state's child pornography statute to include material protected by the First Amendment. 

Ohio Senate Bill 144 would require all libraries to enforce the "R" rating designation of the motion picture rating system.

Oregon Senate Joint Resolution 730 would create a ballot initiative to restrict people under age 21 from viewing nudity or sexually explicit conduct. 

Washington House Bill 1009 (as amended) would make it a misdemeanor to sell or rent a violent video to anyone under age 18. 

Washington Senate Bill 5243 would broaden Washington's harmful to minors law to include dissemination by "electronic transmission."
